Still Using a Free Gmail or Seznam Address for Business?

You're risking client trust, data security, and serious GDPR fines.

Operating without a professional email is a ticking bomb for data compliance. Secure your business with a compliant, professional address — I'll handle the entire technical setup.

Does Your Email Address Actually Matter?

Using a free address (like @gmail.com or @seznam.cz) might seem harmless, but consider these points:

GDPR & Legal Risk

Using a free service for client communication violates GDPR. It lacks the required Data Processing Agreement (DPA), exposing you to significant fines in case of a complaint or data breach. Read the full breakdown here.

Professionalism

Your email address is a touchpoint. Free addresses can make your business seem small, temporary, or less established. Using your domain reinforces your brand identity.

Trust & Phishing Risk

Free accounts are easier for scammers to impersonate, making your clients hesitant to trust the emails they receive from you.

Deliverability

Spam filters can be less forgiving. Properly configured domain email has better delivery rates.

Clarity

Separates personal and business communication, reducing confusion and potential errors.

The Good News?

Getting a proper business email isn't complicated or expensive. I can handle the setup for you.

What if You Still Need Help Later?

Support is available on-demand using simple Email Support Credits.

How Support Credits Work:

  • Each credit = 15 minutes of email support
  • Usage is rounded up to the nearest 15-minute block — even short tasks use 1 credit
  • No subscriptions — just buy credits when you need them
  • Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase
  • Credits apply only to business email support — not web or other services
  • If you’re on a website maintenance plan, you may already get a few credits each month
  • If something breaks and it’s not your fault, I’ll fix it without charging you

Important Notes:

  • Email Support Credits are valid only for technical help with your business email setup (e.g., deliverability issues, configuration changes, alias management). They cannot be used for website support, design, or other services.
  • Even if your email was set up via a web/maintenance plan, support credits only cover email-related issues.
  • Should this support service be discontinued, I will aim to provide a fair resolution for any active, unused credits.

The Setup Process

Getting your professional email is straightforward.

  • Step 1 — You request the service

Let me know you’re interested and what email address you’d like (e.g. info@yourdomain.com). If you don’t have a domain yet, I’ll help you choose one.
  • Step 2 — I send you a short form and payment details

You confirm your details and pay the one-time setup fee. There’s no subscription — just a clean, complete handoff.
  • Step 3 — I set everything up

I register your domain (if needed), create your business email, and configure all technical records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC). I’ll test everything before handover.
  • Step 4 — You get access and a management guide

You’ll receive tested login details, a clean setup, and a short guide that explains how to manage your account, create aliases, and use your email client or app.
  • Optional — Need help later?

Just email me. If it’s business email related, I’ll take care of it using your Email Support Credits. You can buy credits anytime — no ongoing plan needed.

Question You Might Have

Is using my free Gmail or Seznam.cz email really a GDPR violation?
Yes, almost certainly. GDPR requires businesses to have a specific legal contract (a DPA) with their email provider. Free services are not designed for this business relationship; they act as data controllers for their own purposes (like advertising), which is a direct conflict with your duties to protect client data. This exposes you to significant legal and financial risk.
Can I use Gmail, Outlook, or another email app with this setup?
By default, no. You'll only have access to webmail and the powerful mobile and desktop apps provided by the platform. If you do need to use other clients like Outlook or Thunderbird, we can look into it together — but there may be additional costs for that.
Does the email setup include support on my phone or computer?
I don’t configure your devices myself, but I’ll provide clear instructions. If you want me to help, you can book a call or use support credits.
Why should I pay you for business email if I can do it myself?
You shouldn’t. If you’re comfortable setting up a professional email address on your own, go for it. This service is for people who either don’t have the time, aren’t technically inclined, or just don’t want to deal with the setup. I’m here to take it off your plate — not sell you something you don’t need.
What if I already have a domain name?
Great! I'll just need access to your domain registrar's settings (or you can update the DNS records yourself following my instructions) to point the necessary MX records to the new email provider.
Where can I learn more about these GDPR risks?
I've written a comprehensive guide that breaks down the specific GDPR articles being violated and the potential consequences of using a free email for business. You can read the full article here.
